Description

Silver souvenir spoon with lightly engraved image of the third Vermont State House (1859) on the bowl and simple design along edges of handle. Stamped "sterling" on the back of the handle. "Cora" (?) scratched on front of handle; "Christmas" (?) scratched on back of handle.

Context

Part of donation that included a photograph of house at 15 Loomis Street where Cora King lived with her parents Clark and Rhoda King, according to inscription on the back of the photograph. This spoon probably belonged to her (married name Johonnott), or her daughter, Cora King Johonnott Redfield.
