Phinney & Mead were in business in Montpelier from 1850-1857. "N Johonott" may stand for Nancy Blanchard Johonnott (1802-1872) or her granddaughter Nellie J. Johonott. Albert Johonott (1826-1919), son of Nancy and father of Nellie, was a prominent citizen of Montpelier and Barre, Vermont.
