In 1959 the Montpelier Police Department inspected and registered bicycles. Each registered bicycle was issued a metal number plate, similar to those issued for automobiles. This one was found in the garage at 14 Sabin Street, Montpelier, Vt., which in 1959 was owned by Walter L. and Sophia B. Davis. They had two sons, Eric Paul Davis who would have been 6 years old on June 6, 1959, and Neil Franklin Davis who would have been 5 years old on July 10, 1959.Acquisition
