Description

"Christ Before the Mob", "Jesus before the Mob", or "Behold the Man" Pilate presents Christ to the mob. They stand on a portico with crowds shouting "Crucify him!" teaming below. Underpainted figures are visible to the left of Christ. This is one of four paintings Haidt made showing the events of Passion Week for the Saal of the single sisters' house in of Nazareth. MHS has two others from the set "The Betrayal of Christ" and "Christ before Herod".
