This work displays examples of printing by the Gugler Lithographic Co. and was exhibited at the Columbian World's Fair in 1893 in this original mahogany frame. The Gugler Lithographic Co. helped make Milwaukee a center of printing and was recognized for its commercial lithographic work at the World's Fair. The Milwaukee Public Library holds many significant examples of the work of the Gugler Lithographic Company, including a large collection of sample books (call number 763 G942), collections of posters and billboards, their famous 1898 chromolithographic panorama of Milwaukee from the City Hall tower (call number 912.77595 G942), and more.
