Megaphore consists of more than 160 mold-blown and free-hand-blown glass objects. The megaphone symbolizes libraries, accumulating and storing knowledge for broadcast.
The 4/14/2003 MJS says the sculpture is "a nod to the megaphone, and the way in which libraries amplify information." The MJS also said that "[j]uxtaposed against the man-on-horseback statue of Revolutionary War general Frederick William von Steuben in the boulevard, it's another bit of interplay between old and new Milwaukee."Collection
