Context

A review of Ruffin's first solo show at the Martin Luther King Library in 1979 commended his "lovingly wrought, Turneresque seascapes." Ruffin's canvases were also introduced as "evocative of Turner and other classic painters" at the Freewheelers Reunion Art Fair at the King Library in 1993.
