Research Notes

Notes

National [American] Portrait Survey, 1981. According to Janice Kuhn of Milwaukee Auction Galleries in The Paintings of Louise Lemp (Call Number 759.17595 P112), the three paintings given by Lemp to the Milwaukee Public Library "probably were considered by Louise Lemp to represent the best of her works." Dean Jensen in the 8/5/1977 MS describes the paintings given to the Milwaukee Public Library as "three of her best."
