"Student Cheryl Olsen, a senior at Custer High School, drew a "good witch" conjuring up fun animals from children's books in her painting, which she donated to North Milwaukee Library. Sy Persyzyk, head of the Custer art department, encouraged Cheryl to cook up her imaginative display which includes a ghostly tree, charming mice and black cat sitting atop a book, among other playful creatures. Custer students have used North Milwaukee Library as a gallery in the past, also." THE BOOKTRUCK (MPL Staff News), May 1980.
