2022, Echoes of the Classical World
Dali’s depiction of the Trojan Horse has an ominous look that suggests the looming deaths of those who resist the Greek navy and army. The work has a classical feel that comes from older styles of art in Ancient Greece's history. It shows the soldiers from Greece coming out of the Trojan horse and getting ready to attack Troy’s army and citizens. The only parts of the painting that do not have dark colors are under the Trojan Horse, highlighting the opening where the soldiers are coming out. This could suggest their future victory against the Trojan army.
