An American artist, Yarber was born in Dallas, Texas in 1948. He first gained international attention when his work was included in the American Pavilion at the Venice Biennale in 1984. Yarber is best known for his paintings, drawings, and comics of flying and falling figures seen above nighttime cityscapes and
rendered in psychedelic neon colors. His works
explore philosophy, religion, history, and contemporary culture, and the human foibles and forces that drive them.
