2023, "Endangered Art Conserved" Conservators treated this portrait’s cupping paint and extensive craquelure by placing it on a heated suction table and then cooling it under pressure. They used a cleaner to remove surface grime. They reconstructed minor areas of paint loss with calcium carbonate fills and then inpainted and tinted them. To finish, a protective varnish was applied to the surface.
