Gift of Jennie M. Johnson, 1981
Born in Halsey, OR, Norma Bassett Hall studied at the Art Institute of Chicago, where she met her husband, Arthur W. Hall. Soon after moving to southeast Kansas in 1922, the Halls met C.A. Seward and became involved in his printmaking circle in Wichita. This print was made in Santa Fe, where the Halls moved in 1944. Norma was the only female founding member of the Prairie Print Makers and one of the few to work in color.
