2024 post:
Throughout 2024, we're looking back at the 100 year history of art at the Mulvane. This circa-1984 work is by Washburn alum Thomas Parker. His artistic practice explores varied subjects including pollution, political violence, and conceptualism. In this painting, he uses fields and strokes of red, orange, and mauve to evoke the land of Egypt in the prehistoric period. View another work by Parker in "Student to Artist," an exhibition of Washburn alumni on the main level.
