Throughout 2024, we're looking back at the 100 year history of art at the Mulvane. Frederick Hammersley's 1963 work "Kind" is a color field painting, a mid 20th-century style of abstract art characterized by broad areas of flat color. Using simple geometric forms and an even application of paint, Hammersley creates vibrant juxtapositions of color and shape. What do you think the title of this work could refer to?
