A flotilla of Japanese ships and boats have taken control of the harbor. Considering that they are sailing away from the coastline, it is most likely this scene captures the moment of the expedition fleet's departure. The use of aniline dyes on this print indicates a probable date of the 1860's. Sadahide also appears in this collection as the artist of No. III-2, among the portrayals of foreigners in Japan.
