2024 post: Throughout 2024, we're looking back at the 100 year history of art at the Mulvane. "Prairie Burn" is by Jean Bass, who worked as an art teacher at Topeka High School from 1964 to 2002. She created jewelry and paintings but specialized in weaving and fiber art. She and her husband, sculptor James Bass, were an important part of the Topeka art scene for decades.
