Throughout 2024, we're looking back at the 100 year history of art at the Mulvane. This 1987 lithograph is by Hiroshi Murata, a Japanese American artist whose work often features imperfect geometric forms that intricately combine and tessellate. It was part of a 1988 gift of more than 40 prints the Mulvane Art Museum received from American Abstract Artists, an artist organization founded in 1936 to support the development of non-representational art.
