Name/Title

1952 - Canadian KFS Kit (Actual 1952 patter design 3-piece folded steel cutlery set manufactured by Silco & Wallace) & Post WW2 British Aluminum Mess Tin

Description

A Canadian Forces K-F-S Kit with accompanying Mess Tin (Actual 1952 patter design 3-piece folded steel cutlery set manufactured by Silco & Wallace) - unattributed, no makers mark. This K-F-S pattern of CF kit was used between 1952 (First year of issue) and still in use today (as of 2022). The British 1951 Pattern Square Mess tin is a fine example of a British post war aluminum mess tin design with rounded corners (Canadian Mess tins had square 90-degree corners), and thicker wire handles, (Canadian Mess tins had thinner steel handles)
