Perhaps the first CGG member to be an Olympian and participate in any Summer Olympics was Gdsm Robert (Bobby) Malouf (b. 27 July 1931, d. 16 November 2019)
Guardsman Bobby Malouf was part of The Canadian Grenadier Guards and The CGG Boxing Club and at the age of 20 went on to represent Canada and complete in the men's middleweight event at the 1952 summer Olympics in Helsinki, Finland. He went 16 rounds but eventually lost to Leen Jansen of the Netherlands.
