*** MORE RESEARCH REQUIRED - WHO DONATED THIS AND ON WHAT OCCASSION *** 1986 chalkware figural head wall plaque entitled GUARDSMAN from the Regal and Traditional Collection by W.H. Bossons, Limited, Congleton, England. GUARDSMAN PLAQUE A limited production wall plaque titled "The Guardsman of Buckingham Palace. " #154 was produced from 1986 to 1996. Sculpted by Alice Brindlely. Artist Mark: "R" Size: 7.5" x 4.5". Collection: 'Regal and Traditional Collection' which included Beefeater, Welsh Lady, King Henry VII, Catherine of Aragon, Anne Boleyn and Guardsman. ABOUT BOSSONS LTD. The company was founded in 1946, closed in 1996 and produced Hand-cast ' Vitreplas ', a blend of expensive gypsums producing hard and durable moldings, fine quality paint used by the artists, two coats of hard matte lacquer, colors and lacquer minimize fading / discoloration under normal conditions.
