Sergeant Edgar 'Reaper' Reapolov, CD (12 September 1988 - 1st August 2023) was a highly respected and well-liked member of the Sergeants mess of The Canadian Grenadier Guards. He joined in 2012 and served with distinction until sadly passing away in 2023 due to a motorcycle accident. He was awarded a commendation from the Lieutenant-Colonel Commanding of The Canadian Grenadier Guards - LCol Joe Nunez, MMM, CD, for performing the duties of Platoon Second-in-Command to an exceptional standard and for bringing his professionalism and efficiency to the roles of Senior Instructor for multiple machine gunner courses. He also demonstrated his outstanding leadership skills and tradecraft, achieving the mention of Top Candidate on the Rifle Section Commander Course. He demonstrates the pivotal qualities of a Guards Non-Commissioned Officer, setting the example for all others to follow. He was also awarded a 34th Brigade Exemplary Service commendation in 2018.
