CGG and the Boer War
One of 19 Original Canadian Queens South Africa medals awarded to members of CGG / 1st Prince of Wales Fusiliers (1st P.W.R.F.) Lt. Allan Page Butler relinquished his Lt. commission in 1st PWRF to serve as a Private in the Boer War and was part of the 2nd Contingent - 1st Battalion Canadian Mounted Rifles. (4 others served with British or South Africa Mounted Units)
