Painting of a white and purpleish pink church with a pointy top. Brown fences, green trees and vegetation in the foreground. Sky is composed of different shades of dark and pale blue in the background. Bold colour combination and brushstrokes. Some areas of the wood panel are not covered in paint, therefore left blank. - - - - Peinture d'une église blanche et rose pourpre au sommet pointu. Clôtures brunes, arbres verts et végétation au premier plan. Le ciel est composé de différentes nuances de bleu foncé et de bleu pâle à l'arrière-plan. La peinture présente une combinaison de couleurs et de coups de pinceau audacieux. This painting is of the Brill United Church, which remains an essential place of worship for many in the area. The artist Sarah Robertson was a key figure in the Canadian art scene of the early 20th century. Her art drew inspiration from the work of the Group of Seven and French Modernism.
