Notes

About the artist: Ángel Morollón, an art school professor in Spain, discovered origami while teaching in Utrillas, using it to engage unmotivated students. Inspired by Akira Yoshizawa, he views origami as a sculptural art form, selecting paper to highlight texture and expression. His creative process is intuitive, working from memory and refining through trial and error. He values origami’s meditative nature and its ecological philosophy. Although he has taken commissions, Morollón prefers to keep origami as a passion rather than a profession, seeing it as a continuous source of artistic inspiration.
