Context

This model was donated by Tomoko Fuse during the annual OrigamiUSA Convention in New York. Wendy Zeichner, president of OrigamiUSA, coordinated the delivery and transfer of the piece until it could be transported to the Museo del Origami in Uruguay.

About the artist: Tomoko Fuse (b. 1951, Japanese) Tomoko Fuse discovered origami as a child and later became one of the foremost artists in modular origami. She is known for her innovative polyhedra, geometric structures, modular boxes, and kusudama—decorative paper spheres assembled from multiple folded units. Since the early 1980s, she has published over 60 books in Japanese, Korean, and English, contributing significantly to the development of contemporary origami.
