About the artist: Born in Madrid in 1955, Miguel Gañan studied aeronautical engineering and co-founded a software company. In 1997, he moved to Argentina, where he has lived since. He began exploring origami in 2007, focusing on modular designs inspired by Tomoko Fuse and snapology. In 2011, he discovered tessellations and started folding and designing his own. By late 2017, he created his first tessellation designs, expanding into boxes, closed cubes, and tatos. He has exhibited widely across Argentina, Spain, and Uruguay. He has published three books to date: Twist and Tess (2020), Twist on Twists (2022), and Twist on Boxes (2024).
