International Business Machines, Endicott, NY
1946
The first mechanical time recorder patent was filed in 1888, by Willard Bundy. His company became the International Time Recording Company in 1900, which then evolved into the Computer-Tabulating-Recording Company in 1911. In 1914, this company renamed itself as International Business Machines, today's IBM. This time clock can record the work time (including lunch breaks) of 150 employees for 7 days. Preset time limits can be set so that late arriving, or early departing employees get their time stamped in red.
