Medical/Dental Chair Unknown Manufacturer Unknown Date The first dental chair was developed by Josiah Flagg in 1790. This chair had wider armrests and an adjustable headrest. Later innovations added the tool tray and hydraulic lifts we’re familiar with today, with hydraulics being added in 1877.
