Note
Unknown use, power input is a screw-in light bulb connector.
It is not clear what this hand held electrical heating plate was intended for. Note that it was powered by screwing it into a light bulb socket, which dates it to the earliest days of home electrification. It's orientation was likely with the heated plate curving upwards from the handle. It may have been part of a larger device, or held in a stand of some kind, possibly as a replacement surface for a gas or wood fired stove. No similar devices have been found.
