Horizontal lever select 5 to 95 cents, vertical lever select $1 to $4, push down on horizontal lever to open cash drawer and show amount flags, wood drawer base. Lever operated cash registers like this one were nicknamed cheese cutters because of the way the operator pushed down the horizontal lever to open the drawer.
