Typewriter Royal Typewriter Co., Hartford, CT 1929-1930 Royal brand typewriters were marketed to be the most durable in the industry. The Royal Model P was the first portable typewriter to be released by the Royal Typewriter company and was slimmer than most of the Royal Typewriters. This made it easier to pick up and carry. These models were marketed as easy-to-use and great for everyone in the family.
