Note
The Toast-O-Lator uses a series of rotating gears with angled teeth to propel the toast or muffins from the input side past the heating elements to the output side. There are clear viewing ports in either side of the toaster so that the toast can be viewed as it trundles past. The patents were issued in 1938, 1938, 1939, and 1940 This is arguably the most collectable toaster type in the world. The most available Model J unit sells for approximately $500 today. An earlier Model C version with full glass window sides sold for $11,000 recently. There are YouTube videos and a BBC short on it, as well as fan clothing items displaying the Toast-O-Lator name and picture on them.
