Warburg Respirator
Bronwill Scientific Inc., Rochester, NY
1968
The Bronwill Warburg Apparatus can hold up to 14 samples of cellular material and has six reproducible agitation speeds. Manometers, or pressure measurement devices, were used to measure the precise amount of gas produced or absorbed by the samples during testing. Variations of this device are still used by scientists today to measure fermentation or cellular respiration.
