Precision X-Y Microscope
Ernst Leitz, Wetzlar, Germany
1919
The Ernst Leitz company was a leading supplier of products requiring fine optics. They also were innovators, including the first functional binocular microscope and the first practical 35mm camera (under the Leica brand name). This microscope can be precisely adjusted in the X and Y direction. It was likely used in examining pathology tissues.
