Blood Diagnostic Test Set
College of Electric Medicine, San Francisco, CA
Early-mid 1900s
Built by notorious quack practitioner Dr. Albert Abrams, this machine could supposedly diagnose any number of health problems using only a single drop of blood. The blood was applied to the plate and “analyzed” by adjusting the machine’s knobs. In reality, Abrams’s machines were nothing more than boxes filled with lights, wires, and buzzers.
