Note

Stamped w "Dixie" and 5, Most likely for straightening or pinching curls (kiss-curl iron). Potentially used by tinsmiths to shape and seal seams. But this seems to be a use only promoted by Ebay sellers. Dixie (maybe Dixie Gun Works) made very similar looking pliers (with lead pouring holes) that were used for making musket balls.
