Pocket Sextant W.F. Stanley Co, England Unknown Date Pocket sextants were designed to be the more compact answer to the larger full-sized sextant. Despite their small size, these devices were still capable of accurate measurements when calibrated properly.

General Notes

Note

Pocket (or Box) Sextant for measuring angles from horizon to the sky. Has original leather case. "Royal Patent" is engraved on the brass case. Built in articulated magnifying glass to read the angle scale.
