The rim is flat but the lip is irregular and folded inwards. The neck is cylindrical with slightly sloped shoulders on a somewhat square body with one large round dimple on each of the four sides of the body; the edges of the dimples are rounded. The base is slightly concave. The vessel is intact with some iridescence and encrustation.Context
The colour of glass was determined by both substances naturally present in the raw ingredients and those which were added by the manufacturer; for example, copper oxide in blue glass or iron oxide naturally present in green glass. Before the Hellenistic period, colourless glass is rare as most manufacturers were unable to control the influence of the iron oxide.Made/Created
