Description

The thick rounded rim is angled inwards. The walls of the rim continue vertically with a slight constriction at the vessel's midpoint. The base is concave with a pontil mark and label to the base.

Context

A variety of these bowls were made of pottery, stone and glass. They were very common in the Islamic world with varying thickness in the walls of the vessels. The glass industry at Hebron still produces bowls of this style.
