Blanch actually Painted this piece at the first Beaux Arts Ball of the Macon Art Association. The theme for the ball was "Parisian Fantasy." Blanch lived in Macon for a number of years, teaching at Wesleyan during that time. Her work can be found in the Metropolitan Musuem and the Whitney Museum, among others.
