This quilt was given to the donor by her great-grandmother, Harriet Leonard Fishburn, as a fifth birthday present. It had been made by Mrs. Fishburn's mother, Mary (Mrs. Benjamin) Leonard in 1822. blue and white cotton, hand-quilted. Given to Mrs. Coates on her fifth birthday. July 3, 1922, by her great-grandmother, Harriet Fishburn (1840-1937.) There is a box of attached letters included with the gift. Letters to Mrs. Coates from her great-grandma
