Description

The stamp for the handerchief design is printed on a pink canebreak fabric. The battenburg lace (cream) is basted to the pink fabric and the various designs created with lace are connected with embroidery stitches using a thin cotton thread (spider web quality) The border is an asymmetrical daisy pattern. Later the canebreak would be cut away and handerkerchief placed in the center.
