Sletcha's photograms are photographic images made without a camera. Using permanent pigments over prepared acetate. Slechta paints hard edge, geometric compositions that are later employed as a negative that filters direct pointes of light. Working in a totally darkened space, Sletcha moves a pen light across the surface of the painting. The light, which travels through the pigment is filtered in varying degrees by color, painting thickness, time, and distance. Each piece is unique, as the variables can never be duplicated.Artwork Details
