The Manual of the Mustard Seed Garden, is a famous painting manual from the Kangxi period of the Qing Dynasty. It details various techniques in Chinese painting, including landscape painting, plum, orchid, bamboo, chrysanthemum painting, and flower, bird, insect, and herb painting. The name comes from Li Yu's villa in Nanjing, the Mustard Seed Garden. The main authors include the three Wang brothers, Wang Gai, Wang Shi, and Wang Nie, as well as Zhu Sheng and others. The person who presided over the compilation of the painting biography was Shen Xinyou, the son-in-law of Li Yu, a famous scholar in the early Qing Dynasty.Dimensions
