Cast metal WWI tank ashtray
the tank is attached at rear with two threaded peg that are secured with nuts underneath;
tank is hollow; there is a two-line maker's mark on the bottom in raised lettering but it is unreadable; the oval at the front has three smooth spots to hold cigarettes; it has a copper-like patina;
oval size: 5-1/2" x 2-7/8"
tank size: 3" long x 1-1/4" wide x 1-3/4" tall
note: this ashtray was probably not made at Benicia Arsenal but it somehow related to the tank shop; it could have been ordered especially for members of the tank shop.Collection
