Blouse, light and dark green striped silk with applique, circa 1880.
Along with the blouse was a note from Emily Koenig's mother to Emily regarding the origin of the blouse. It is in the image file and the original note is in the donor file.
It says the blouse (or "basque"?) came from Lutz's. They gave it to Emily's mother 50 years ago after she was married. (There is a date of 03/06 and no year on the note. Assume it is about 1995.) She says it could easily be 100 years old at that time.Collection
