Antique, clear glass Apothecary bottle; on bottom: Patented March 5th 1894 - St. Louis Mo.; Drug store chemist's bottle with stopper. Label: R Buchu 8-1/2" tall x 2-5/8" wide x 2-5/8" deep. note: the plant is from South Africa; the leaf is used to make medicine used for urinary tract infections, inflamed prostate and other ailments; also used/applied to skin as insect repellent, deodorant, skin infections; its oil is used in foods to give fruit flavor (black currant) and as a fragrance in perfumes and colognes.
