note: the plant is from South Africa; the leaf is used to make medicine used for urinary tract infections, inflamed prostate and other ailments; also used/applied to skin as insect repellent, deodorant, skin infections; its oil is used in foods to give fruit flavor (black currant) and as a fragrance in perfumes and colognes.
