A cardboard box for a medicine called "Oxien". This is a natural food for the nerves. The box was adopted 06/01/1893. I assume that is about when this item was made. Inside the box would have been the "natural nerve nourishment" and a booklet explaining the benefits of this "wonderful food" as well as another pain remedy. This was presented in several languages.
It was made by the Giant Oxie Co. of Augusta, Maine.Collection
