Scope and Content

This is a religous card commemerating the first Communion in Benicia of Humphrey Lynch at St. Dominic's Church on Sunday May 3rd, 1896. Humphrey Lynch was the son of Jere(?) Lynch per the 1900 census. They lived on F street in Benicia. His father was an Irish drayman who immigrated in 1886. The rest of his family immigrated in 1890. His wife was Mary (1863), Mollie(1885), Humphrey(1886), Lizzie(1887), John (1891), Nellie(1892), Nora (1894), James(1899). In 1900 his sister-in-law Hannah Sweeney (1875) lived with them. Later census records show Michael Lynch (1868) who immigrated in 1898 and lived with the children. In 1910 census the parents are not shown.
